Hey everyone! Update time
Listening to Northlane
I've been listening to a lot of Northlane lately. They're one of my favorite bands, and their music really takes me to another universe. I find it helps me get in a good state of mind to concentrate, so I've been listening to them a lot when I'm working on music.
Working on a New Song
I'm currently working on a new song called "Work." It's a house track with a funky beat that's reminiscent of Tiga and early French techno/electro. I'm really excited about it, and I'm working on getting my vocals recorded soon. I also have a vision for a really cool video for the song, with lots of color and deep pastel hues.
Recording Two Hip Hop Tracks
I'm also recording two hip hop tracks that I finished writing recently. I'm really excited about these tracks as well, and I think they're going to be something special. Once they're mixed and mastered, I'll be sure to share them with you all.
Looking to Buy New Equipment
I've also been looking at buying some new microphones and podcasting equipment. I'm hoping to make podcasting a part of my setup in the future, and I think having the right gear will really help me produce high-quality content.
Using a Mixer
I've also been experimenting with using a mixer more often. I find that it really helps me get the type of sound I want without having to solely rely on computer processing power. This is why big studios work so well. The hardware takes a lot of load off the computers because it's doing its own processing to the audio signal.
Dreams of Playing a Stadium
One of my biggest dreams as an independent musician is to play a stadium one day. I love listening to well-recorded music with that big stadium sound. It makes me want to be able to get myself in a position to experience it and also share my own sounds with other people.
Stay Tuned!
I'm really excited about all of the projects I'm working on right now, and I can't wait to share them with you all. Stay tuned for more updates soon!
In addition to the above, here are some other things I'm doing to improve my music:
- I'm taking online courses on music production and engineering aka music production youtube. there is so much to learn if you get stuck making music
- I'm collaborating with other musicians and producers in the future to get some crazy sounds going on.
- I'm playing live shows as often as I can and looking to start something new in my city
- I'm networking with other people in the music industry and making new friends daily!
I'm committed to making the best music I can, and I'm excited to see what the future holds. Thanks for your support!
